Are you an Office Manager full of determination, tenacity, initiative & energy? If so read on as we need you.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Office Manager to help run our busy office in Haywards Heath. We need you to get involved in all aspects of daily operations of our thriving law firm supporting our management team and staff alike. We could list out all the tasks you will be responsible for but you already know what they are. The overall main function you will perform is pulling the office together and ensuring smooth operations.

As we are a law firm you will be very involved in compliance and reporting. We have a full office of staff so there are HR issues to look after and resolve. Yes there will also be supplies to order and facilities to manage. You will support the Firm’s Partners, Financial Controller and Practice Manager in developing the Firm and contributing to its future success and expansion. You will also provide cover for our legal cashier. In summary you will support us all.

You should therefore have a host of attributes, namely:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent with numbers, words and people
  • Flexible, willing to do whatever is needed when it is needed
  • Happy to work in a small legal firm environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, Word and Outlook, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Tidy, organised, good typing and general office skills
  • IT literate
  • Previous relevant experience in a Law firm preferred
